Every day is its own channel
You work in Today. Earlier days wait under Previous days, read-only, and anything you run again from them comes back to Today.
Sprig keeps every command you run as a chat. Real mongosh replies, results as tables, and every day filed away so you can scroll back and run it again.
For macOS, Windows and Linux
Why a chat
A terminal forgets the moment you scroll. Sprig keeps each command and its result as a message, filed by day, so the query you wrote last Tuesday is a click away.
You work in Today. Earlier days wait under Previous days, read-only, and anything you run again from them comes back to Today.
Sprig runs the actual mongosh runtime, one process per connection, so replies read exactly like the shell. Stop ends a runaway loop and puts you back in the same database.
See documents as a table or as mongosh text, and Sprig remembers which you like. Click a column to re-run the query sorted by it, or copy as TSV into a spreadsheet.
Pin any command from its message and give it a name. It lives in the sidebar, remembers its database, and runs in Today with one click.
Type / to re-run the last query sorted, pin it, clear old messages, or reach for the mongosh helpers you use every day.
Everything Sprig keeps lives in one SQLite file on your computer. Connection strings are encrypted with your system's keychain and never reach the window that draws the app. Quit with a connection open and it's back next time you launch.
One search covers every command and every result you've kept, across every day.
Keyboard first
The composer works like a chat box that knows your database, and everything has a shortcut.
Type db. and Sprig lists the collections in the current database. The chevron on the send button runs Explain with executionStats instead.
Sprig is nearly ready for macOS, Windows and Linux.
